Overview

Phonitor is a free app with paid subscriptions. This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.

Data

Phonitor does not collect any data from you. All data stays on your device locally or in your iCloud. I do not have the access to it.

Phonitor also does not contain any crash/analytics libraries. Whenever you use Phonitor, in a case of an error in the app, Apple may send me the crash log. I only receive this Log Data when you have explicitly chosen to enable it in your iPhone’s Privacy settings.

iCloud Sync

Phonitor implements iCloud sync as the foundation of the app, it uses the iCloud service provided by Apple to ensure your key data is encrypted and synced across all your devices. As you know, this service is highly secure and trusted by users worldwide. More importantly, no data will be sent from iCloud to my server — in fact, Phonitor doesn’t use a server at all.

Streaming

Phonitor uses peer-to-peer communication technology for streaming. After your devices sync key data through iCloud, they can connect directly to each other without using a central server, transmitting encrypted video and audio, or sharing files via peer-to-peer connection. Neither Phonitor nor any third party can access your streams.

Video Storage

If you enable the loop recording feature, your videos will be stored locally on the device used as the security camera. Phonitor does not have any servers to store your videos.

Permission Requests

Phonitor do need access permissions below to work smoothly:

• Camera Access: I will request this permission when you need to stream real-time video.
• Microphone Access: I will request this permission when you need to stream real-time audio, or to speak.
• Local Network Access: I will request this permission when your devices are going to connect to each other.

Children’s Privacy

Phonitor does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone. In the case I discover that someone has provided me with personal information, I will immediately delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page. You can find the last updated date at the top of this page.
